Sternitzky, Clarence & Selma (50th Anniversary (7 October 1983)
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence (Selma) Sternitzky of Granton will celebrate their 50th
wedding anniversary with an open house Sunday st the Granton Sportsman's.
A buffet lunch and special program will be hosted by the couple's children. All
friends and relatives are invited to the event.
Sternitzky is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louie (Martha) Sternitzky. The former
Selma Handke is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Laura) Handke.
They were married October 7, 1933 at the American Lutheran Church parsonage,
Granton. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Lewis were their attendants.
They farmed in the Lindsey and Granton areas until their retirement two years
ago. Both of them enjoy traveling on Short trips and picking berries and apples.
They are members of the Zion Lutheran Church, Granton; He belongs to the Men's
Club and she belonged to the Fremont Homemakers Club for many years.
They have four children, Mrs. Jerry (Lila) Schmitz of Granton, Stanley
Sternitzky of Barron, Mrs. Doug (Velda) Idema of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and
Marvin Sternitzky of Granton. They also have 15 grandchildren.
