Albrecht, Robert E. “Bob” (19 December 1934 – 7 May 2022)
Robert “Bob” E. Albrecht, 87, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022,
at Marshfield Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born on December 19, 1934, in Black Duck, Minnesota to Emroy and Hilda (Lichte)
Albrecht. He graduated from Granton High School and attended UW-Platteville. He
then served in the United States Army. On January 25, 1958, he was united in
marriage to Blanche Rice.
Bob worked as a salesman for Montgomery Ward. He then owned and operated the
Busy B Bar in Auburndale with Blanche from 1976 to 1980. Later, he worked at
Weyerhaeuser until his retirement in 2001.
Bob was an avid Wisconsin Badgers supporter and a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. One
of his best days was watching the Cubs win the World Series in 2016. He also
enjoyed spending time with his casino family on his monthly Darcy’s bus trips.
He is survived by his children, Jim (Becky) Albrecht of Wisconsin Rapids, Jay
(Lois) Albrecht of Winter, Jackie (Wayne) Arnold of Wisconsin Rapids, Jean (Ken)
Brandt of Couderay, and Jon (Amy) Albrecht of Marshfield; grandchildren, Jim,
Sara, Lindsay (Andrew), Cody, Ben (Ashley), Sam (Miranda), Matthew, Scott,
Jenna, Michelle (Rob), Paige (Scott), Rachel (Phil), and Morgan;
great-grandchildren, Landon, Adrian, Max, Addison, Connor, and a baby boy on the
way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson, Nolan Albrecht, sister,
Charlotte Washburn, brother, Richard Albrecht, and special friend, June Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Rembs
Funeral Home, Marshfield, where visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service
time. The service will be livestreamed at
www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will follow at Hillside
Cemetery in Marshfield and serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jim,
Cody, Ben, Sam, Matthew and Scott.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Marshfield
Medical Center for their care.
