MRS. PETER LAFLEX BURIED LAST THURSDAY
Mrs. Peter LaFlex passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Poppe at Withee, Wis., Feb. 4th, 1941, having nearly reached the age of 85 years. The body was brought to the Bogumill Funeral Home here and lay in state until the time of the funeral which was held there on Thursday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating. Interment was made in the East Thorp cemetery the following acting as pall bearers: Herman Buss, Elmer Meyer, Willie Biddle, Willie Roesler, Wm. Hickman and Thomas Vander Wegen.
Colista Dolf* was born in the state of New York on the 5th day of February, 1856. In early childhood she came to Wisconsin with her parents. She grew to womanhood and was married at Colby, Wis., in 1877 to Peter LaFlex. Later, with her husband and family, she came to Thorp where she has since made her home.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, and one daughter, Mrs. Henry Poppe, of Withee, and seven sons, Edward of Thiensville, Wis., Leander, of Waupaca, Wis., Louis of Ladysmith, Wis., Frank of Greenwood, Wis., Harry of Solon Springs, Wis., Jesse of Thorp, Wis., and Eanie, of Minneapolis, Minn.
She also leaves two sisters, 53 grandchildren, and 55 great grandchildren. Three daughters and one son preceded her in death.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to neighbors and friends for their sympathy extended during our recent bereavement, the death our beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Colista LaFlex; especially do we thank the Rev. F. H. Sprengler, those who sent flowers, furnished cars, the pall bearers, and the Bogumill Funeral Directors.
