Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Peter Krarup

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the Hoeper-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen for Mrs. Marie Krarup, with the Rev. Robert Sullivan, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Marie Krarup, 79, of route 1, Withee, died at 6:55 p.m. Friday, May 25, 1973 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Serving as pallbearers were Jens Smith, Andrew Smith, All Bower, Emil Looker, Peter Devine and Neil Vater.

The former Marie Jensen was born September 4, 1893 in Chicago and was married September 19, 1919 in Withee to Peter Krarup, who preceded her in death February 23, 1972. The couple had farmed in the town of Longwood for many years.

She is survived by a son Harold, route 1, Owen; three daughters, Mrs. Helga Pickett, Sumter, S.C.; Mrs. Jack (Dolly) Warns, Withee; and Mrs. Richard (Pearl)Hanson, Cedar Falls, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Christine) Blunck, Withee, and Mrs. Elsie Blunck, Withee.

She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran church of Withee.
