Biddle, Peter Sr. (12 Sep 1858 - 23 Apr 1929)
Peter Biddle Sr. was born in Grey, Ontario, Canada, Sept. 12, 1858 and died April 23, 1929 at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 11 days.
He came to Clark County, Wis. in 1876 and located at what is called Reseburg, Wis. and was one of the earliest settlers in that locality. He was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Wright of Thorp, March 25, 1883. To this union 10 children were born. One daughter preceded Mr. Biddle in death. He leaves to mourn his departure six sons and three daughters, John, Peter, George, Charles, Irvan and Sherman, all of Thorp, Mrs. M. C. Anderson of Abbotsford, Mrs. Alfred LaFlex of Ladysmith, and Mrs. Arnold Eppers of Owen, all of who were present at the funeral. Three brothers, Richard and George of Thorp, Thomas of Libby, Mont. and one sister, Mrs. Katherine Riche of Denver, Colorado, and nine grandchildren.
The funeral took place on Friday afternoon last from the Congregational Church, Rev. Powell of Owen, conducting the services. Interment followed in the Reseburg Cemetery.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wright and daughter Mildred of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. W. F. Schmidt of Rib Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Anderson and son Dale of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. John Eppers and Mrs. Wm. Rohn of Withee.
