Prokes, Peter (? - 17 Sep 1929)

Mr. Peter Prokes was burned to death in a fire which destroyed the home of Frank Pancerz, in the town of Thorp, Clark County, Wis., on Tuesday night of last week. The Pancerz family were attending a dance at a neighbor's home and Mr. Prokes was asleep and alone in the house. How the fire started has not been determined. The body was so badly burned that identification was very difficult. A coroner's jury on Thursday decided that Prokes came to his death by fire of unknown origin. The remains were shipped to Ironwood, Mich., his former home, for interment.
