Mr. Roy Suckow and Miss Lettie Vine were quietly married on Wednesday, May 28, at the home of Rev. G. W. Longenecker who performed the ceremony. They were attended by the groom’s brother, Mr. Frances Suckow who acted as groomsman and Miss Grace Zank as bridesmaid.
After the ceremony the wedding party drove to the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vine in the town of Grant , where a sumptuous wedding dinner was served.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Suckow who lives on Pleasant Ridge. He is an enterprising an industrious young man, an a skilled mechanic. In addition to helping their father carry on the farm the Suckow brothers operated a garage and filling station on Highway O.
The bride was brought up at the farm home in Grant, attending high school in Neillsville, graduating from the Teachers Training Course in 1924. Since then she has taught in the rural schools and is considered one of the most successful teachers.
The young couple left Wednesday afternoon for a trip by auto through northern Minnesota.
