Franz Listeman, brother of Kurt Listeman of Neillsville, passed away Monday night in Chicago, after more then a year of intense suffering from tumor on the brain.

Deceased has been an occasional visitor here for many years past, and has impressed all who met him as a man of the finest type of character -- keen of intellect, a musician of rare skill, and interested in a wide range of the finer things of life, he was a man whom it was a pleasure to meet. His death at the age of only 56 seems a great loss to the world. Between him and other members of the family there was a deep and tender attachment and their friends of this city and vicinity will keenly sympathize with them in their bereavement.
