Bohnsack, Elmer Charles (16 June 1917 - 6 May 1930)
Elmer Charles, son of William and Hannah Bohnsack, was born in the town of Weston, Clark County, Wis., June 16, 1911. He passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Wis., May 6, 1930, age 12 years, 11 months and 20 days. He was taken ill Saturday and Monday was taken to the hospital and operated upon for appendicitis, Tuesday, living but a few hours after the operation.
Elmer was a faithful and obedient son, taking great interest in his home and the work of the farm. In school he was faithful and studious, taking pride in being on time and regular in attendance. He was loved and respected by his schoolmates.
Elmer was of a cheerful disposition having a smile for all; especially kind and helpful to his Grandmother Bohnsack in his afflictions. He was s member of the Sunday school and faithful attendant.
He leaves to mourn, besides his parent and grandparents, his sister Agnes and little brother Lawrence and many other near relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from the home Friday afternoon, May 9 and interment made in the Neillsville Cemetery. Rev. Householder of Greenwood officiated.
