It was learned here last week through a letter from Mrs. H. H. Mauer to a Neillsville friend that Mr. Mauer died in Chicago in the later part of March. No particulars were given. Mrs. Mauer was formerly known here as Bessie King. She graduated from high school and later taught here. Mr. Mauer was an instructor in an educational institution in Chicago. He leaves his wife and one daughter, Rickila.
