Pabich, Mary J. (4 SEP 1908 - 25 OCT 2000)

Mary J. Pabich, 92, of Abbotsford, WI, died on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at 2:20 a.m. at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford.

Funeral services for Mary were held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Al Jakubowski officiated with burial following in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Mary's grandchildren served as pallbearers. Visitation was held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2000 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford with the Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.

Mary J. Hendzel was born on Sept. 4, 1908 in Poland, the daughter of Albert and Kathryn (Schlitz) Hendzel. She was raised in the Lublin, WI area. Mary and Frank Pabich were united in marriage on Sept. 21, 1926 in Lublin. The couple farmed in the areas of Stanley, Lublin, Town of Maplehurst (rural Withee) and also the Town of Green Grove. They retired from farming in 1960 and moved to Milwaukee. Mary and Frank returned to Abbotsford in the late 1960's. Frank died on May 7, 1988. Mary enjoyed caring for her family and was an honorary member of the Sunshine Club of Owen and belonged to St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford and was active in the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Mary will be sadly missed by her daughters: Leona (Richard) Jaeger of Milwaukee, Mary Ann (Jim) Hollman of Abbotsford and Donna Pabich of Abbotsford; her sons: Frank Pabich of Dillon, MT, Edward (Faerie) Pabich of South Lake, Texas and Alex (Judy) Pabich of Loudon, TN. She is further survived by one sister, Sophie Pruzka of Milwaukee and one brother, Walter (Jean) Hendzel of Lublin, WI; 19 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank on May 7, 1988, parents, 1 brother, 5 sisters and one grandson, Mitchell Hollman on Sept. 7, 1990.
