Henry Knoll
Granton - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Gilbertson Funeral Home for Henry A. Knoll, 88, Granton, who died early Saturday morning at the Sunset Nursing Home in Fairchild. The Rev. L. E. Schreiber, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be made in the Yolo Cemetery in the town of Fremont.
Mr. Knoll was born March 11, 1874, in Germany, and received his education there. He came to the United States at the age of 16 and settled in the Granton area. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
He was married in Marshfield on Nov. 28, 1898 to Anna Schrader who died Aug. 8, 1943. He farmed in the town of Fremont until 1944 at which time he moved to Granton where he lived until two years ago when he moved to Strum to reside with his daughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Tab (Della) Erickson, Strum; a son, Henry, Granton; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
A son, a daughter, and a sister preceded him in death.
