Thompson, Lars (2 June 1901 - 1953)

Neillsville-Lars Thompson, 52, of Neillsville died at his home Wednesday evening as a result of a heart attack. Funeral services will be held at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church. The Rev. William F. Koehler will officiate. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bergeman Funeral Home until time of services. The body will not be viewed in church.

Mr. Thompson was born June 2, 1901, in Telemarkiem, Norway. When he was two years old his family moved to this country and settled in Stanley. He received his education there, and lived there until 18 years ago when he moved to Neillsville. For the past 30 years he has been employed by the Northern States Power Company as a journeyman linesman. On Oct. 5, 1936, he was married to Wilma LeClaire at Granton.

He is survived by his wife and the four children, Richard of Lindsey, Louise at Whitewater, and Donald and Susan both at home. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Carl and Melvin of Stanley, Conrad of Portland, Ore., Margaret of Galesville, Marie of Whitewater, Volleborg of Viroqua; and four grandchildren.
