Barb had been employed in Accounts Payable at the Marshfield Clinic for 42 years
until her retirement. She was a people person and cherished times with her
family, especially being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She
enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing BINGO, shopping, going out to eat with
family and friends, occasional trips to the casino, and taking trips with her
family. She liked to read and when her eyesight diminished, she still enjoyed
listening to books through the Wisconsin Talking Book and Braille Library. She
was a strong advocate and speaker for the local Al-Anon group. In her later
years she enjoyed daily visits to the Marshfield Area Respite Care Center where
everyone there enjoyed conversations with her.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa M. (William) Gratzek of Marshfield and
Sara L. Meyer of Elkhorn. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Brittany L.
(Matthew) Kempen of Greenville, and Heather Meyer of Delavan, and two great
grandchildren, Leah and Everett Kempen. She is further survived by special
friends, Julie Nash and Trevor Beck, a sister Mary Ellen (Gary) Pradarelli and a
brother James (Kathie) Hoeser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law John E.
Meyer, and brothers, Ronald J. Hoeser and Dale E. Hoeser.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Rembs
