Hendricksen, Arthur (17 May 1855 - 13 Apr 1923)

Arthur Hendricksen was born on May 17, 1855 in Holland and died at the home of this daughter, Mrs. F. E. Bart on Friday morning at 5 o'clock, age 68 years. They came to this county (Clark) and settled on a farm near Veefkind 38 years ago. About 25 years ago they moved to Plainfield, where they have since resided.

In the year 1877 he was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Eibergen, who died nine years ago. Since her death he has lived at Plainfield until two years ago when he came to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. F. E. Bart.

The deceased was a kind and loving husband and a man that was strictly honest in all dealings, and loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the E. F. U. Lodge.

The body was shipped to Plainfield Monday, accompanied by Mrs. F. E. Bart and son Artie, where the funeral services were held that afternoon at 1:30 at the First Baptist Church. The remains were laid to rest in the City Cemetery beside his wife.
