(30 Jul 1862 - 16 Jul 1924) Albert Francis
died at the la Crosse Hospital on Wednesday, July 16, 1924, after a
short illness of gall bladder trouble, age nearly 62 years. The deceased was
born in Canada, July 30, 1862. When 21 years of age he came with
his parents to the vicinity three miles west of Loyal, Clark
County, Wis., where he bought and settled on the farm which he
owned at the time of his death. He was united in
marriage Oct. 14, 1891 to Miss Clara Howard. To this Union four
children were born, Fred and Floyd living near Greenwood, Clark
County, Blanch (Mrs. Albert Schmidt), Loyal, one son James dying
five years ago. Mr. Francis is
survived by his wife, three children, nine grandchildren, two
brothers, James of Canada and West of Oregon, and one sister, Mrs.
Ben Hubble of Oregon. The deceased was a
man of integrity and a kind neighbor and friends, and his memory
will long be cherished by those who knew him best. The funeral was
held at the Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon, Rev. W. J.
James officiating. He was laid to rest in the family lot in the
Loyal Cemetery.
