Anderson, Eunice Jean (7 July 1930 – 19 May 2022)

Eunice Jean Anderson, 91, of Marshfield, passed peacefully from this life into the glorious presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, the evening of Thursday, May 19th, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Her family surrounded her in prayer and song as she went and gave all glory to God, the Father, knowing that she no longer suffers the trials of this life. Though we miss her greatly we do not grieve without the hope and assurance that one day we will be reunited with her for all eternity.

Eunice was born July 7, 1930, the daughter of Darel and Francis Griepentrog. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1948. On June 23, 1951, Eunice was united in marriage to the love of her life, Willard in Spencer.

Eunice worked in the office at Dairy Belt from 1948-1952 and then worked part time at Figi’s from 1976-1996.

Eunice was a loving and faithful wife, a fiercely dedicated and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a selfless friend who had the most kind and compassionate heart. She has left us a legacy filled with faithfulness, grace, humility and love of which we should all hope to replicate. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield and was a member of the alter circle there.

Eunice is lovingly survived by her husband of 70 years, Willard Anderson; and their children: James (Renn) Anderson of Arpin, Jerry (Carol) Anderson of Spencer, Jane (Duwayne) Bey of Marshfield, Ron (Sandi) Anderson of Marshfield, Mike (Jill) Anderson of Eden Prairie, MN, and Lois (Aaron) Ellis of Marshfield. She is further survived by their grandchildren: Lindsey (Cody) Conover, Aaron Anderson, Craig (Rachel) Anderson, Jenny (Shawn) Shadrick, Nicole Bey, Kim Bey, Glen (Chelsea) Anderson, Tynan (Kate) Anderson, Emma Anderson, Riley Anderson, Evan Ellis, Mya Ellis, Lathan Ellis and 11 great-grandchildren.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Darel and Francis Griepentrog; and in-laws, Alvin and Helen Anderson; a brother, Norbert Griepentrog; a brother-in-law, Reiny Willner; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Willner; and a brother-in-law, Bill Ertl.

The family would like to thank the St. Joseph’s Hospital CCU staff for their excellent care and compassion.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Rev. Chris Schwanz will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield.
