Knoll, Margaret (10 Sep 1924)
The Lutheran Church at Loyal was the scene of an early fall wedding last Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Margaret Knoll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Knoll, became the bride of Mr. Leonard Gehrke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raul Gehrke of Marshfield. Rev. Pohlman officiated.
As the strains of the Wedding March played by Mrs. Pohlman sounded the wedding party entered the church. The bride and her attendants were met at the altar by the groom and his attendants.
Miss Esther Knoll attended her sister as maid of honor. She wore corn color canton crepe and carried an arm bouquet of yellow dahlias. Miss Grace Gehrke, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. She wore apple green canton crepe and carried an arm bouquet of pink dahlias.
The bride wore a beaded white canton crepe dress. Her tulle veil was arranged in cap effect and was held in place by a bandeau of pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of brides roses and baby's breath.
The groom was attended by his brother Elmer Gehrke and John Knoll, brother of the bride.
After the ceremony a wedding supper was served at the home of the bride's parents to about one hundred guests. The house was prettily decorated in green and white.
Mrs. Gehrke has a large circle of friends, having lived all her life in this community and is known as a girl of charming personality.
Mr. Gehrke is a young man of sterling qualities.
Mr. and Mrs. Gehrke expect to make their home on a farm in this vicinity.
The Tribune joins with their many friends in wishing them a happy future.
