Mrs. Bootcher, of Augusta, came the first of the week for visit with her aunt Mrs. Matt Flinn, in the town of Alma. J. C. Henning and family came home from Fall Creek Monday. Mr. Henning has recently returned from Oklahoma, where he has been for several months working on bridges for the Hennipen Bridge Co. Gene Washburn went to Augusta Wednesday evening to spend a few days at the home of his son. E. Winters had a visit Wednesday and Thursday forenoon with relatives from Sauk county. They went from here to Augusta and Fall Creek. Hiram Dimmick and C. West went to St. Paul Tuesday in search of employment to their liking. If it is not to be found in that city, they expect to journey westward, probably to the coast. Wm. Stanka returned the last of the week from a trip into the north eastern part of the state looking for a farm. Mr. Stanka bought a farm of 120 acres between Tigerton and Split Rock in Shawano county, It has over forty acres under cultivation and is located near a school.
