Zook, Mrs. Peter (1833 - 29 OCT 1909)
Mrs. Peter Zook died at the home of her daughter in Minneapolis on Friday last, and was buried in that city Monday afternoon, aged 76 years.
Mrs. Zook and her husband were among the earliest settlers in these pasts, settling on the farm now owned by John Greub. Here they lived until moving to Fairchild and about a eyar ago then went to Minneapolis to make their home with one of their daughters. Mrs. Zook knew the hardships of pioneer life, and suffered the many privations with the other pioneer wives and mothers.
She leaves to mourn her death the aged husband, seven sons and two daughters. Of the large family only one son, Jacob, remains in this vicinity, the others having taken up their residences elsewhere.
