Dan Allen Married A dispatch from LaCrosse states that Dan Allen was married there last week to a Margaret Van Leet. He is aged 71 and she is 67. This is the Dan Allen who had a sensational career in this county years age. He was charged with poisoning a neighbor named Wright and pending trial escaped from Jail and after several years was capture by Sheriff Page in Washington. He was brought back, tried and acquitted by the jury. The past winter Judge O’Neill met Allen in LaCrosse and had a long interview with him. He has been living in La Crosse for the past seven years. Mrs. Wright’s name was Margaret and it is quite possible she is the same woman who is noew married to Dan Allen. Romantic.
