Beaver, Mary (1852 - 11 May 1925)
Mary Domine was born at Trier, Germany in 1852 and died on Monday May 11, 1925 at the Marshfield Hospital. She came with her parents to this country when a year old. On July 17, 1872 she was married to John Beaver at Jefferson, Wis., where they lived until 43 years ago, when they moved to Clark County, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Beaver settled in what was then a wilderness, three and one half miles southeast of this village, and which they made into one of the finest farms in the county. Seven years ago they moved to the village where they have since resided.
To this union was born 19 children, 7 daughters and 12 sons, seventeen of whom grew to manhood and womanhood. Fourteen are now living, along with the husband mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother. She was devoted to her home and family and will be greatly missed in the home circle and by her friends and neighbors.
In 1922 Mr. and Mrs. Beaver celebrated their golden wedding and all their children were home for this event. The following are the names of the children: George Beaver, Granton, Mrs. Mike Duvall, Marshfield, Mrs. Peter Schmitz, Orcutt, Calif., Mrs. Frank Bauer, Mrs. Joseph Wedl, Mike, Nick, William, Frank, Edward, Phillip, Peter, Bernard and Matt, all of Loyal. She also leaves 48 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, besides a sister, Mrs. John Paulus and other relatives.
The funeral service was held at St. Balthasar's Catholic Church on Thursday with Solemn Requiem High Mass, Rev. Joseph F. Stenz as celebrant, assisted by Rev. John Novak and Rev. S. Frye. She was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery.
