Hart, Beryl, Jr. (26 December 1935 – 19 April 2022) With Flag
Beryl Hart, Jr., 86, of Greenwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at
the Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen. A graveside service will be held
at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery in Medford.
Beryl Hart, Jr. was born on December 26, 1935, in Neillsville, to Beryl Sr. and
Velma (Ehlert) Hart, where he was raised and received his education. He served
in the U.S. Army from August 26, 1954, until his honorable discharge on August
23, 1957. Beryl was united in marriage to Betty J.A. Dassow on May 12, 1962, at
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford. He worked for a short time on a dairy
hauling milk, and then they moved to Marshfield where he was employed at Owen
Block. Beryl later went to work for Wick’s, in Marshfield, where he assembled
heating ductwork. They moved to Loyal in 1981, and he continued working at
Wick’s until retiring after 6 months shy of 40 years with the company.
He had many interests, but especially enjoyed taking long walks, collecting
cars, hunting, fishing, and playing cards.
Beryl is survived by his children: David Hart of Greenwood, Rosemarie (Paul)
Salzwedel of Marshfield, Dennis Hart of Marshfield, Rita (Larry Jr.) Schreiner
of Rozellville, Donald (Lori) Hart of Granton; 13 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; one brother: Marvin Hart of Wausau; one sister: Birdine
Behling of Medford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty, on May 4, 2012; one
son: Daniel P. Hart in September 1969; one grandchild: Kaitlyn R. Hart; and four
brothers: Bradley, Chester, Leon and Harold Hart.
