Faber Family, Norman
1973 finds Norman farming the same land cleared by his parents from the surrounding woods over 55 years ago. He attended the former Franklin School and Granton High School. He was employed by Herbert Puscheck's Butler Builders, now works for Willis Stichert's Bonded Roofers. His wife, Mildred, grew up on the Ernest Sanger farm less than a mile from the Big Four School and the earlier town hall building on Martin Dankemeyer's corner; even recalls attending school in the election hall when Big Four was being remodeled. Later she attended Marshfield High School and Stevens Point College; keeps fairly well occupied in house and garden, and with her hobby of song writing, now near the number of 2,000, mainly hymns. Norman's favorite past time, besides his other carpentry projects, is ice fishing.
Their three children were educated in a variety of rural and consolidated districts, including Cozy Corner and Granton Schools. Donald is at home. Bonnie is completing Eau Claire University courses in history and psychology. Connie is home employed, doing farming, sewing, sign painting and cake decorating.
