Funeral services were held Friday 2 pm at St Paul's Lutheran church of Thorp for Frank LaFlex, 93, died Monday, 30 May 1983 at Victory Memorial nursing home; born 3 July 1889 Thorp, Clark County, Wis. to Peter and Cola LaFlex; married -- July 1921 to Adeline Anton at Thief River Falls, MN; farmed in Thorp and Gilman areas before retiring to Stanley; survived by

wife and 3 sons; Earl LaFlex of Jacksonville, FL and Maynard LaFlex of Stanley and Roy of Dover, TN; and 5 daughters: Phyllis (Mrs. Louis) --ld of Chippewa Falls, --Nonah (Mrs. Sidney) Weiss of Carpentersville, Illinois, Donna (Mrs. Malen) Tecklaw of Thorp, Patricia (Mrs. Wayne) Madison and (Miss) Iva LaFlex of Minneapolis, MN; plus 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded by son, 8 brothers and 3 sisters; buried in East Thorp cemetery
