LaFlex, Adeline (12 NOV 1901 - 1990)

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Adeline LaFlex, 88, died Saturday AM at Victory Memorial nursing home of Stanley; born 12 Nov 1901 in Cherokee, Iowa to Hans and Louisa (Hesse) Anton; family moved to Thief River Falls, MN in 1913, where she married Frank LaFlex on 14 July 1921; in 1923 they moved to the Thorp, Clark County, Wis. area and farmed for many years; also farmed in Gilman area and came 1971 to Stanley; survived by 3 sons: Earl (Omie) LaFlex - Jacksonville FL; Maynard (Sharon) LaFlex - Stanley; and Leroy (Calley) LaFlex - Union Grove, Alaska; and 5 daughters: Mrs. Phyllis (Louis) Wald - Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Wenonah (Sidney) Weiss - Carpentersville, Illinois; Mrs. Donna (Malen) Tecklaw - Thorp; Miss Iva LaFlex - Stanley; and Mrs. Pat (Wayne) Madison - Gilman; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; also 3 sisters: Mrs. Louise Alger - Stanley; Mrs. Kate Swanson - Thief River Falls, MN; and Mrs. Helen Proetz - Inver Grove Heights, MN; Preceded by parents, husband, son Oliver in 1975, 1 infant daughter, and 3 brothers and 3 sisters; Funeral services held at Epiphany Lutheran church of Stanley and buried East Thorp cemetery, by Pastor John Allstaedt; grandsons were pallbearers
