Richardson - Chamberlin
The home of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Chamberlin was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon, June 12th, at 2 o’clock, when their daughter, Marietta W. was united in marriage to Mr. Verland C. Richardson. Rev. E. E. Strevey of the Methodist church, performing the ceremony.
The bride was becomingly attired in Copenhagen blue crepe de meteor and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas. She was attended by her sister, Miss Leona Chamberlin and the groom by Mr. Calvin Hills. The house was prettily decorated for the occasion, the decorations being roses and ferns.
After the ceremony a fine wedding supper was served to the immediate family.
The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Chamberlin. She is a graduate of our local High School and is a young lady of many accomplishments. The groom is the only son of Mrs. Hattie Richardson and is bookkeeper at the Citizens State Bank, a position he fill in a creditable manner. Both contracting parties have lived in Loyal since childhood and have the respect and esteem of everyone. A host of friends join with the Tribune in extending congratulations and best wishes for a life of happiness and prosperity.
Mr. and Mrs. Richardson left the same day for a wedding trip to Chetek and will be at home at Loyal after July 15th.
