Hallowell, Lloyd G. (3 Augl 1901 - 8 Jul 1926)

Lloyd Giles Hallowell was born Aug. 3rd, 1901 at Rubicon, Wis., and died at the Marshfield Hospital after an operation for appendicitis on July 8th at the age of 24 years, 10 months and 15 days.

The deceased moved with his parents to Belleville, Kansas where he spent his childhood.

He was on the U. S. Shipping board for 2 years and was on the first boat to reach Yokohama, Japan after the earthquake which occurred a few years ago.

At the age of twenty-two years he was united in marriage to Hazel Franklin at Fort Morgan, Colo. Since that time they have been residing at Menasha and came up here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) to spend the fourth with his parents, at which time he was taken ill.

The deceased was of a quiet disposition; always gaining a host of friends.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, mother, and father, two brothers, two sisters and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon July 10th. Interment took place in the Dodgeville Cemetery, Rev. James officiating.

The Tribune joins with the many friends of the deceased in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
