Strey, Edward Bernard Jr. (1 Dec. 1876 - 21 June 1930)
Edward Bernard Strey, Jr., died at his home in the town of Grant, June 21, aged 53 years, 6 months and 20 days. Deceasd was the son of Edward Strey Sr. and his wife Wilhelmina Strey. He was born in Washington County, Wis., Dec. 1, 1876. About 50 years ago the family came to Clark County and have lived here ever since. During his younger years he worked in lumber camps. About two years ago he has influenza from which he did not appear to fully recover. His father, mother, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn hid death three brothers, Robert and Albert of York and William of Grant; two sisters, Emma, Mrs. Egbert Goodwin of Pasadena, Calif., and Mathilda who lives in Milwaukee. He leaves 11 nephews and 11 nieces, 5 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
The funeral was held Monday at Pleasant Ridge church, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. The pallbearers were Robert Keller, Albert Riedel, Erwin Grassman, Henry Braatz, Paul Garbush and Fred Daniel.
