Williamson, William (1849 - 29 Nov. 1930)
The Mineral Point Paper of last week announced the death of William Williamson, father of Levy Williamson, at his home in Rochester, Ind., Nov. 29, at the age of 81. He was found dead in his bed by his daughter, Mrs. R. W. Hurst.
Mr. Williamson was born in Norway and came to America 56 years ago, settling in Rochester, which remained his home the rest of his life. His wife died in 1907.
Mr. Williamson was an occasional visitor here when Mr. and Mrs. Williamson lived in Neillsville, at times remaining for several weeks and making a number of acquaintances about the city.
He was a musician and had been a teacher of music, a man of culture and refinement, quiet in his tastes and habits, but a most companionable man among his friends.
He is survived by the one son and daughter and one grandson, Louis Williamson.
