Schutte, Dorothy (30 Sept. 1874 - 14 Dec. 1930)
Mrs. John Schutte*, Sr., passed away Sunday night, Dec. 14, at her home in North Pine Valley, after a lingering illness of more than three years. Mrs. Schutte, whose maiden name was Dorothy Boll, was born in Germany, Sept. 30, 1874. When nine years of age she came with her parents to Chicago, where they lived until 1895 when they came to Clark County. In Nov. 1898 she was married to John Schutte of Neillsville, and for many years they lived on their farm in Pine Valley.
Mrs. Schutte was a kind and loving wife and mother and a helpful and accommodating neighbor, and has many friends. Mr. Schuette* died in 1928. She is survived by eight children: Doris, Mrs. Wm. Christianson of Prairie da Sac; John on the home farm; Martin at home; Senta, Mrs. Elmer Chrisman, Neillsville; Alvin, Henry and Bobby at home. She leaves also nine grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
The funeral will be held this Wednesday afternoon , 1:30 at the home and 2 o’clock at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Rev. Wm. Baumann officiating.
