ARM CUT BY SILO FILLER
Wendell Crothers had his left arm cut quite badly Saturday forenoon while filling silo at his home at Romadka. The hood which covers the knives and blower fans had come loose on one side; he reached over to turn the clamp which held it down and just at that moment it was torn loose by the fan and hurled against his arm, cutting a long, deep gash in the forearm. He was taken at once to Dr. Wink’s office in Granton where the arm was dressed, more than 50 stitches being required to close the wound. The bone was not injured. At present he is getting along well and it is thought that he will fully recover.
On Sunday the neighbors gathered and finished filling the silo.
