FRANK KOPP COMMITTED

After medical examination and a hearing in County Court, Frank Kopp was committed to the State Asylum at Mendota last Thursday by Judge Schoengarth and Friday he was taken to Mendota by Sheriff Bradford. Kopp, who with his wife, lived on his mother’s farm in the southwest part of Pine Valley, has been showing signs of quiet violent insanity for some time. Two years ago he was brought up from examination but was permitted to go home. Since then he remained quietly at home but a few weeks ago he began to go about the county and came to Neillsville several times, becoming when excited, quite violent. He was picked up by the police and brought before Justice Dudley, under the supposition that he was intoxicated. Mr. Dudley, however, surmised that it might be something more than intoxication and remanded him to jail for examination in County Court.
