Lannie P. Tomczak, 55, of Owen, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center, in Marshfield, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Lannie Paul Tomczak was born on April 22, 1967, in Stanley, the son of Michael T. and Kathleen J. (Krug) Tomczak. He was raised and received his education in the Owen/Curtiss area. After high school, Lannie was a farmhand for local farmers, before entering the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, he went to work as a drywall installer, which he did for many years, and was very good at it. Lannie also repaired lawnmowers and motorcycles for many friends and neighbors.

He had many interests, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding motorcycles, hunting, and sports.

Lannie is survived by one son, Yukon Tomczak, of Abbotsford; his father: Michael Tomczak of Owen; one granddaughter, Charley Elizabeth Maves; one sister, Tracy Harbaugh of Edgar; two brothers: Dean (Vicky) Tomczak of Owen, and Duane Tomczak of Wisconsin Rapids; two nieces, three nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, partner, and mother of his children, Elizabeth "Beth" Mrotek, on December 15, 2020; his daughter, Torrie Ann Tomczak, on April 10, 2015; and his mother, Kathleen, on July 23, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at 11.a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee. Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Curtiss. Military rites will be conducted by the Owen American Legion Post #123. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
