A pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Drake, Granton, Clark County, Wis., at 8:30 Monday evening, July 26, 1926, when Miss Beatrice Drake was united in marriage to Mr. Russell W. Smith of Waupaca, Wis., Rev. Wilson Mallory performing the ceremony.
The bride was lovely in a gown of ashes of roses, georgette, and was attended by her sister Vivian who wore a dress of salmon pink flat crepe.
Mr. Earl French of Waupaca, a friend of the groom was groomsman.
The rooms were prettily decorated with green and white and the bridal party wore pink roses.
Following the ceremony a fine supper was served to the guests who were immediate relatives and friends.
The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Drake and has lived in this vicinity nearly all of her life. She is a young lady of pleasing manner and personality and has many friends.
The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Smith of Waupaca, and although a stranger to many here (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.), is well spoken of by those who know him.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith went on a short honeymoon trip to Kilbourn and the Dells and will be at home after Aug. 1st at Lake McCroissan.
Their many friends extend congratulations and best wishes for a life of happiness and prosperity.
