Robert C. Rakovec, 57, Loyal, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 27, at the Loyal United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wendell Williams officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Arnold Wolf, Preston Wolf, Brian Aumann, Ben Nikolai, Amanda Harouff, and Christopher Harouff.
Robert Charles Rakovec was born on March 4, 1947, in Loyal, to John and Doris [nee Anderson] Rakovec. He was raised and lived in Loyal most of his life. He attended the Developmentally Challenged Religious Education Class in Greenwood for many years and also worked at Adult Development Service, Greenwood, for several years. In September of 1999, he moved to the Maple House, Colby, where he resided until entering the Clark County Health Care Center in May of 2001. He was a member of the Loyal United Methodist Church. His interests included country music, and collecting cowboy hats, neckties, badges and briefcases.
Survivors include three sisters, Delores [Arnold] Wolf, Chili, Karen Harouff, Kendall, and Terri [Brian] Aumann, Loyal; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
