Julie a. Becker, 34, Medford, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, at her residence. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford. The Rev. Paul Steinberg will officiate. Burial will be in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Zenner, Todd Neuenfeldt, Ron Roth, Brock Zenner, Harlen Adams, Larry Neuenfeldt, and Eric Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers will be Dana Wavrunek, UW-Health Hospital of Madison RNs and NAs of transplant floor B4/6 and RNs of Ministry Home Health Care of Marshfield.

Julie Ann Hoover was born on Oct. 10, 1969, in Milwaukee, to Wayne and Shirley [nee Schmidt] Hoover. She received her early education at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School, Medford, and was a 1988 graduate of Northland Lutheran High School, Wausau. She married John Becker on July 8, 1989, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford. They later divorced. Before her illness, she was employed at the Medford Clinic as a receptionist and in the accounting department. Her interests included arts and crafts, cake decorating, her family, cooking and hospitality. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her parents, Wayne and Shirley Hoover, Stetsonville; one son, Anthony John Albert Becker, Greenwood; one daughter, Tasha Renee Becker, Greenwood; one sister, Lori [Todd] Reinhart, Stetsonville; and maternal grandmother, Verna Schmidt, Stetsonville.
