Forest Rowe, a former resident of the town of York, died in the hospital at Iron Mountain, Mich., Tuesday morning, July 14, the cause of his death being a form of meningitis.

Forest Rowe was born in the town of York, August 10, 1892, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rowe. He grew to manhood on the farm, and was married in 1912 to Miss Grace Campbell, who survives him. After their marriage they lived on the Rowe farm until about six years ago when they moved to Iron Mountain, Michigan, where Mr. Rowe was employed in the Ford Plant. He was an industrious, upright man, a kind husband and father. He leaves his wife and three children: Merlin, aged 17; Lynn, 13, and Hazel 10. One little boy died some years ago. He is survived also by his aged mother, who lived at Iron Mountain, three brothers, Walter of the town of York, Glenn of Milwaukee, Vernon of McCleary, Wash., and one sister, Mrs. A. P. Fulwiler of Iron Mountain, also a number of nephews and nieces.

The body was brought here for burial. The funeral was held Friday afternoon, brief services being held at Schiller’s Funeral Home, followed by regular services at York Center Church, Rev. Wendell Bennetts of Lindsey officiating.
