Alvin L Marg

Alvin L Marg, 22, died at the Granton Clinic at 9:15 o'clock last night as a result of an injury suffered when he was struck by a piece of board while sawing lumber at the Ed Hillert farm near here, Wednesday.

The board, caught and thrown by a circular saw, struck Marg in the abdomen and caused a rupture of the large intestine. A specialist was called from Eau Claire to aid local doctors in the vain attempt to save his life. The youth was employed by Elmer Gotter, sawmill operator.

Funeral services will be conducted at St Stephen's Catholic Church of Chili at 10:30 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Arthur Cramer officating, and burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Marg residence after 10 o'clock Saturday morning.

Alvin Louis Marg was born in the Town of Fremont, Clark County, on Dec. 3, 1918, and attended graded school in Lynn Township and high school at Pittsville.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Marg, Granton, route 2, and by four brothers and a sister: Ed of Fremont, Arthur of Dancy, William of Schofield, Fred of Superior, and Mrs. Glen (Dorothy) Rose of Lindsey.
