WENZEL-ZIERER

Miss Flora Mae Zierer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Zierer, Phillips, Wisconsin, became the bride of Basil Ray Wenzel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Wenzel, Withee, at a marriage ceremony performed by Justice Bernard Slowey, Phillips, at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Lena Sangkuhl, Phillips.

The bride was attired in a navy blue silk suit trimmed in white and wore black accessories. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Lorraine Zimmerman, who wore a navy blue lace gown.

Franklin Zierer, Jr., brother of the bride, attended the groom.

After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served, with covers laid for 10.

Mr. Wenzel is a graduate of the Withee high school with the class of 1935. He is employed at an oil station in Withee, where the couple will reside.

*a note regarding the marriage year...a date is handwritten on the copy, however, it really resembles an 8 (as in 1987), instead of a 3, but does not coincide with other articles of the scrapbook. Therefore, going by the year or Mr. Wenzel's graduation, I will assume the number is actually a three. :)
