Rycerz, Adolph J. (14 June 1918 - 18 Oct. 2004)

THORP -Adolph J. Rycerz, 86, of Thorp died Oct. 18, 2004, in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in New St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Thorp Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

He was born June 14, 1918, in Michigan to Martin and Anna (Piekarz) Rycerz. On May 29, 1943, he married Irene Wincek at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church. He farmed in the town of Withee until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Rycerz of Thorp; his children, Robert (Barbara) Rycerz, Milwaukee, Barbara Rycerz, Alan Rycerz, Roger Rycerz, Kathleen Rycerz, Ron Rycerz and William Rycerz, all of Thorp, John (Debra) Rycerz, Greenfield, David Rycerz, Gilman, Mary Ann Oberle, Sheboygan, and Eugene (Sherri) Rycerz, Green Bay; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
