IS FATALLY INJURED

William Craig, Injured While at work at Owen, Passes Away at St. Joseph Hospital

William Craig was fatally injured at Owen last Saturday morning while at his work. He was immediately taken to the St. Josephs hospital at Chippewa Falls where medical aid did all that was possible to save his life but on Wednesday evening Oct. 4th he passed away. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and six children The remains will be take to Richland Center, his old home for burial. Mrs. Craig and family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.

The body of William Craig, who died the week previous in a hospital at Chippewa Falls, was brought back here Wednesday of last week for interment. Mr. Craig's death resulted in injuries received while in the performance of his duties at Withee, he having been caught between a moving freight car and some piling, crushing him so badly that little could be done to relieve him. Deceased was a former resident of this vicinity, his boyhood home being on Brush Creek. He was 45 years of age and leaves a wife and six children.

Wm. Craig, who was killed by the cars at Withee, Wis., was brought to Dayton Corners for burial Wednesday. The neighbors and friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved ones.

*William Craig was born in 1862 at Wayne Pennsylvania the son of Alexander Craig and Susan (Powers) Craig. He married Bertha Bingham in Richland County, Wisconsin on April 4, 1888. Children born to this marriage: Nellie, Frank, Newell, Harry, Della, Mary F. Nellie married Geo. Wilson Della married Hazen Dell Mary Frances married Harold Bender all three daughters and their husband are buried in the Riverside Cemetery at Withee, Wisconsin

Bertha (Bingham) Craig, the widow, remarried on November 25, 1915 in Owen to Mr. William H. Cramblit. She passed away 26 June 1926 and is buried at Riverside Cemetery, Withee, Wisconsin.
