Kampin, Mrs. Charles (December 4, 1860-October 8, 1944)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran church, Spencer, for Mrs. Charles Kampin, 83, who died Thursday morning at the home of her son, Otto.
The Rev. Edgar Milleville officiated at the rites and interment was made in the Lynn cemetery.
Mrs. Kampin was born in Germany December 4, 1860. She, with her husband, came to Wisconsin in 1885, making her home in Clark County, where she has since resided.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Kampin, Chili; one son, Otto Kampin, Chili; six daughters, Mrs. Wellie (Emma) Davis, Spencer; Mrs. Sam (Martha) Muir, Marshfield; Mrs. Elwin (Edith) Shepherd, Earlham, IA.; Mrs. Earl (Elsie) Bashford, Hoboro, Ind.; Mrs. Marie Graf, Janesville, Wis.; Mrs. Mabel Cochran, Warsaw, Ill; 20 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Kampin, Chili.
Preceding her in death were two children, a son, William, and a daughter, Minnie.
Mrs. Kampin was a life long member of the Lutheran Church and has been an active member of the Lutheran Ladies’ aid.
