Winkel, Emma H. (29 Sept. 1904 - 10 March 2000)

Emma H. Winkel, age 95, a former Neillsville and Marshfield resident, died at the Memorial Nursing Center, Neillsville, on Friday, March 10, at 11:30 p.m., where she had been a resident since April 16, 1999.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place in the Colby Memorial Cemetery, in Colby, WI.

Emma was born Sept. 29, 1904, in Sheboygan, WI, to Otto and Emma (Eckart) Nagel.

She married Raymond Winkel on May 8, 1926 in Milwaukee. After their marriage the Winkel’s farmed in the town of Seif, Clark County, for 35 years. Emma also worked at Memorial Nursing Center, Neillsville retiring in 1970.

Emma is survived by one son Ellis Winkel, of Wyoming, 8 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1980; a son David and one grandson.
