Holzbauer, Robert John (25 Feb. 1940 - 16 Oct. 1998)

Robert Holzbauer, age 58, of Granton, Wis., died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998 at his residence.

Robert John Holzbauer was born on Feb. 25, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wis., the son of Joseph T. G. and Mary Sylvia (Zavitosky) Holzbauer. He attended the Holy Angels Grade School in Milwaukee and graduated from the Messemer High School in Milwaukee in 1958. After graduation he resided with his parents in Milwaukee until 1`958 and then moved to Blue Spring Lake near Palmyria until 1982. Bob then moved to Neillsville to be with family. He was a devote member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville and was an avid music and nature lover. His other hobbies include collecting coins and photography.

He is survived by his brother, Phil (Helen) Holzbauer of Mukwonogo, Wis.; a sister Jeanine (Wendell) Williams of Granton, Wis., and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23, 1998 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Palmyria, Wis. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 a.m., Friday at the Heritage Funeral Home in Palmyria.

Casket Bearers will be George Holzbauer, Phil Holzbauer, David Voight, Tim Voight, Jeramy William, and Wendell Williams.

The Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis., is assisting Robert’s family with arrangements.
