Miss Alta Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd A. Parker, Town of Fremont, and Kenneth PORTER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy PORTER, Sprague, were married on Saturday, Jan. 6, at a 4:30 o'clock double ring ceremony performed in Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dubuque, Iowa. The Rev. Mr. RUSSERTT officiated at the nuptials.

Miss Parker wore a street-length dress of regal blue silk and wool crepe with black accessories and a locket, a gift of the groom. Miss Evelyn RUSSERTT, who attended as bridesmaid, wore a blue silk dress. Alvind RUSSERTT was best man.

A wedding supper was served Sunday, Jan. 7, at the home of the bride's parents, which was decorated in blue and white streamers, and on Friday, Jan. 12, a miscellaneous shower was held at the Fremont Town Hall, dancing furnishing the evening's entertainment.

Mrs. Porter was graduated from Tomah High School and New Lisbon Training School. She taught school for two years respectively in Juneau County and Cozy Corner School in the Town of Fremont. The groom was graduated from Necedah High School. The couple will make their home in Sprague, where the groom is employed.
