DOWNER - LEE
The Rev. Virgil Holmes, pastor of the areas Methodist Churches, performed the double ring ceremony Saturday in the Methodist church at Neillsville which united in marriage Miss Betty Marie Downer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Downer, Granton, and James Richard Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lee, Chili.
The bride was attired in a royal blue sheath dress trimmed with rhinestones and pearls, and a royal blue hat with rhinestones. A white orchid was pinned to her shoulder line.
Mrs. Constance Dix, Chili, was matron-of-honor, wearing a blue and black striped sheath with black accessories. Yellow daisies made up her corsage.
Mr. Lee was attended by Lawrence Dix., Jr., as best man.
A supper was held at Prust’s dining hall for members of the wedding part and families of the couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee will reside on Rt. 5, Marshfield, where he is engaged in farming. Both are graduates of Granton High School.
