TINKHAM GOES INTO BUSINESS

With School System 24 Years, Headed Senior High Since 1929

Glenn D. Tinkham, a member of the Marshfield public school system for the past 24 years and principal of the Senior High School since 1929, announced today that he had tendered his resignation to the Board of Education and will enter the business file in Marshfield.

Mr. Tinkham, who came to Marshfield in 1921, immediately after graduation from the University of Wisconsin, has purchased an interest in the Linden Electrical Company here and will be associated with Frank. R. Smith of Fond du Lac in the operation of the firm, of which he will be local manager and secretary-treasurer. The company will engage in the sale of farm machinery and equipment as well as in the electrical field.

One of Marshfield’s first agricultural instructors, Mr. Tinkham came here while Dr. C. O. Newlun, now president of Platteville State Teachers College, was superintendent of schools.
