The Maple Works Lutheran Church was the setting for the wedding at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 19, of Miss Mildred Grace BARTZ, daughter of Mrs. Bertha BARTZ, Granton, and Gerald G. FOX, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert FOX, Stevens Point. The Rev. A.E. LAESCH performed the double-ring ceremony and the wedding march from "Lohengrin" and the singing of "O Promise Me" by Miss Erma WEST, furnished the music for the rites.
The bride was costumed in white English net with lace inserts and a matching lace finger-tip veil caught to a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of Talisman roses and swansonia and wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the groom.
Miss Evelyn BARTZ, sister of the bride, and Katherine FOX, sister of the groom, attended as bridesmaids in coral pink and blue, respectively. The gowns were of point-d'esprit with lace inserts and matching shoulder veils. Each attendant carried a bouquet of Talisman roses and miniature chrysanthemums. Lawrence BARTZ, brother of the bride, and Laverne THEIL of Amery attended the groom.
Kathryn BARTZ, sister of the bride, and Sylvia WEST served as flower girls in floor-length pink organdy dresses. The bride's mother and the groom's mother appeared in dark blue dresses with shoulder corsages.
Floral decorations carrying out the color scheme of the gowns in the bridal party were used at the home of the bride's parents, where covers were laid for 100 guests at a wedding dinner served at 6 o'clock.
Mrs. FOX has been a teacher in the Clark County Schools for several years, and taught at the Romadka State Graded School last year. Mr. FOX is employed as a stereotypist on the Appleton Post-Crescent, daily newspaper, and the couple will make their home at 516 W. Sixth street, Appleton.
