Zimmerman, Albert E. (3 Augl 1874 - 24 Jan 1911)
Albert Emil Zimmerman was born Aug. 3rd, 1874, at Pine Valley, Clark County, Wis.. Was confirmed the 14th of April 1889 in the Evangelical Lutheran St. John's Church at Neillsville.
Mr. Zimmerman was married to Miss Ida Maria Porath of the town of Alma, Jackson County, May 18, 1898, and settled on a farm in the same town. This he afterwards sold and purchased the farm west of Humbird, Clark County four years ago, which has since been their home. Five children were born to them, two dying in infancy. Mr. Zimmerman died on the 24th of Jan., 1911. He is survived by his wife, three sons, mother, three brothers, and three sisters. His father and one brother having gone before. The surviving brothers and sisters are Robert, Frank, Rheinhardt, Mrs. F. Terrell, Mrs. P. Gilloy, Mrs. S. Gower.
The funeral was held on Saturday, Jan 28th, 1911, services being held at his home and at the M. E. Church in Humbird, which were attended by a large congregations of relatives and friends of the deceased. The sermon was preached by Rev. Mr. Smith of Stratford, pastor of St. John's Church of Humbird. The body was laid at rest in the cemetery at Alma Center. Thus departs from our midst a much respected citizen.
